I want to change how you think, how you perceive and how you live. How do I intend this minor miracle to happen? Ehh…
Basically this will be the ’serious’ blog and it is accompanied by the Tumble with TwilightShadow on Tumblr. This is sort of a scrapbook for stuff that might eventually show up as articles on The TwilightShadows.
So what can you expect from this blog? Well, me, basically. That is, what I want to share with the world. From philosophical and historical musings, to my thoughts on movies, books, art and music. It will range between my fondness for Macs, typography, steampunk and fantasy, to my very real identity as a modern pagan, renaissance person and romantic. In short: I am a Web 2.0 person with interessts all over the place. (Amiga, illuminations, photography, wicca, gothic etc.)
Apart from this eminent service, WordPress that is, I can be found in various ways. You can see my FriendFeed, friend me on Twitter, Jaiku, Pownce, Facebook, Bebo, MySpace etc. Oh, and friend me on Flickr to! I’m around a little here and there. (If you know of a cool service that I’m not on, please e-mail me or send me an invite.)
Over on FriendFeed you can find even more, hook-up with me, why don’t you! (I am not active per se on all of these, but friend me anyway and give me a reason to use the service in question.)
If you know Swedish you might also want to catch me at Taran’s Duirstep and Hyllebær Nemorensis’ blog.
The gear I’m using
As you might have guessed I am a Mac fan. I use an iBook G4 12″ 768/30GB/AirPort. On it I run Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 and I live in several apps. Some of the more used are for browsing Safari and Firefox, but also iCab, Camino and OmniWeb. For writing I tend to start in a text editor since it helps me conscentrate on content rather than design. My editor of choice is Bare Bones excellent TextWrangler.
Another essential tool is Apple Mail connected to my various e-mail accounts. All except Yahoo! that is… For chatting I mainly use Adium.
At school and increasingly for other stuff as well OmniOutliner has become a great friend. Outlines just looks very nice in it. I’ve been contemplating switching to NoteBook, but proprietary file formats tend to scare me.
